About the Artist

Subrata Ghosh

Subrata Ghosh (b.1977) is a mixed media artist whose work spans a range of media such as painting, sculpture, installation and digital art. He creates mysterious subjects such as hybrid forms of animal and human bodies in a surreal context, which represents a decaying coexistence between man and nature. Much of his work is concerned with themes relating to environmental degradation, climate change, human action and inaction, and is also largely influenced by Ghosh’s personal experiences, emotions, philosophies and values.
